Philippine bank SWIFT and BRSTN codes: the full list

SWIFT/BIC and BRSTN codes for 16 Philippine banks and e-wallets, from official sources.

Short answer For an international wire into a Philippine account, the sender needs the receiving bank’s SWIFT/BIC code. PayPal, Upwork and some domestic forms ask instead for the nine-digit BRSTN. Philippine banks do not use IBAN, and BPI says no routing number, sort code or ABA is needed. The table below carries both codes for 16 banks and e-wallets, with the bank’s own page wherever it publishes one.

SWIFT and BRSTN codes by bank

Warning EWBKUS66 is East West Bank in the United States, a different bank from East West Banking Corporation in the Philippines, and its pages rank high in searches for an EastWest code. Do not take a code from a SWIFT directory or code-lookup site. Where a bank does not print its own code, ask the bank and give the sender only what the bank confirms.

Where each code is used

PNB, RCBC, China Bank, EastWest, PSBank and AUB

PNB, RCBC, China Bank and EastWest all take international wires. RCBC’s fee schedule carries a US$10 SWIFT inward charge and EastWest charges a US$5 service fee on an incoming foreign telex, so the wires arrive. For PNB, RCBC, China Bank, EastWest and PSBank the table gives the BIC that PCHC, the operator of PESONet, prints for each participant on its PESONet list.

PSBank tells senders to “Apply for a telegraphic transfer using our SWIFT code” and lists its USD correspondents, among them JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo in New York. AUB lists its USD correspondent accounts at Wells Fargo, Standard Chartered, JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America in New York on its remittance page, and prints its own SWIFT code, AUBKPHMM, in its HelloMoney FAQ (AUB ↗ · checked 2026-10-16).

Maya, GCash and CIMB Bank Philippines receive money from abroad through remittance partners. Maya’s developer documentation lists MYYAPHM2XXX as a financial institution code in SWIFT/BIC format for domestic transfers, which is not a statement that Maya accepts inbound wires. GCash documents partner remittances and bank-linked cash in, and codes that circulate elsewhere for GCash are not GCash instructions.

Who publishes the BRSTN

PSBank publishes its own bank code, telling PayPal users to “enter 010470992 as the Bank Code Number of PSBank”. The other BRSTNs in the table come from PayPal’s Philippine bank-code PDF or Upwork’s help-centre table, and for each bank that appears on both, the two codes match. The PayPal PDF carries no date, and Upwork’s table still lists bank names such as Chinatrust Commercial Bank Corp. Upwork wants the head office code: “Subsidiary banks all use this same head office BRSTN code”, and a branch code returns an error.

IBAN and routing numbers in the Philippines

GoTyme Bank answers the question for the country: “Philippine banks, including GoTyme Bank, do not use the IBAN system.” Security Bank says “Security Bank has no IBAN number” and points senders to SETCPHMM. BPI’s correspondent-bank page says there is “No Routing Number, Sort Code, IBAN or ABA needed” to send funds to a BPI account. The domestic code that PayPal and Upwork forms call a routing number is the BRSTN, which Upwork defines as “a nine-digit code identifying your country, city, and bank”.
