PESONet cut-off times, caps and crediting times, bank by bank.

Short answer PESONet moves money in batches on banking days only, so there is no single cut-off: each bank sets its own, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM PHT. Send before your bank’s cut-off on a banking day and the money is credited the same banking day; send after it, or on a weekend or holiday, and it lands the next banking day.

BSP’s three settlement cycles

PESONet was launched on November 8, 2017 and is cleared by the Philippine Clearing House Corporation, which BSP names as “the designated clearing switch operator for PESONet” (BSP ↗). Instead of sending each payment on its own, the system “groups multiple transactions together and processes them in batches”, and since July 8, 2024 it runs “three batch-settlement cycles within a business day”, when “an additional settlement cycle at 1:00 p.m. was introduced” (BSP, PESONet 3MBS FAQ ↗). The same FAQ sets out what each cycle carries:

  • 10:00 AM settlement: transfers made from 4:00:01 PM to 12:00:00 AM on the previous business day, plus 12:00:01 AM to 10:00:00 AM the same day.
  • 1:00 PM settlement: transfers made from 10:00:01 AM to 1:00:00 PM.
  • 4:00 PM settlement: transfers made from 1:00:01 PM to 4:00:00 PM of the current business day.

After settlement, BSP says funds are credited “typically within two hours after the recipient’s financial institution receives the inward clearing advice”, with a grace period during the rollout “allowing them up to three hours to credit customer funds”. PPMI, the payment system management body rather than BSP, lists beneficiary credit by 1:00 PM, 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM for the three cycles (PPMI ↗).

Bank cut-offs sit ahead of those settlement times, which is why they land on odd minutes: Security Bank’s DigiBanker channel for business accounts closes at 9:50 AM, 12:50 PM and 3:50 PM and credits “within three-hours after each cut-off” (Security Bank ↗).

How long it takes

  1. Sent before your bank’s cut-off on a banking daysame banking dayBSP states the payee receives the full value the same banking day “provided the payment instruction was sent within the cut-off time” (BSP, PESONet FAQ ↗).
  2. Waiting for the batch to settletwo to three hours after the inward clearing adviceBSP’s 3MBS FAQ ↗; UnionBank ↗ and RCBC ↗ both put the outer edge at 11:00 PM the same banking day.
  3. Sent after the cut-offnext banking daystated by BDO ↗, BPI ↗, EastWest ↗ and PSBank ↗.
  4. Sent on a weekend or holidaynext banking dayPESONet runs on banking days only, and BPI lists the service availability for PESONet as “Banking days only” (BPI ↗).

Tip Submit well before your bank’s own cut-off, not before the 4:00 PM settlement cycle. For anything under ₱50,000 that has to arrive now, InstaPay is real time and runs 24/7; see the fee comparison.

Metrobank and LandBank: older published terms

Metrobank’s pages from 2020 and 2021 give a 3:00 PM PESONet cut-off (Metrobank, April 12, 2020 ↗, Metrobank ↗); its July 9, 2026 page gives the ₱200,000 daily limit and the fee waiver.

LandBank’s iAccess brochure, which appears to date from April 2020, says “there is no transaction amount limit for PESONet and crediting is within 1 to 3 banking days” (LandBank ↗). Its weAccess terms for institutional users, dated January 6, 2026, say PESONet transfers are “processed within three (3) banking days” (LandBank ↗).

PESONet limits and fees

The scheme itself sets no ceiling: PPMI states that “PESONet itself does not impose limits” and that providers set the per-transaction or daily caps (PPMI ↗). Published caps in the table run from ₱200,000 a day at Metrobank and PSBank to ₱3,000,000 a day at HSBC.

The fee column is the individual-client PESONet fee from BSP’s summary sheet, which lists every bank above as free, most of them from dates in July 2026 (BSP ↗). Two caveats sit on the record. BDO’s own limits page still shows a PHP 50 PESONet fee and RCBC’s Pulz FAQ still shows a “Php 10 fee for each PESONet transaction”, both older than the BSP disclosure (BDO ↗, RCBC ↗). Security Bank’s waiver is a promo for “Individual accounts transacting via DigiBanker”, and BSP’s footnote exempts clients on a proprietary front end or API. Full per-institution fees are on transfer fees.

EastWest’s own pages disagree on crediting: the Fund Transfers page gives the 4:00 PM cut-off and ₱250,000 a day, while an older EastWest Mobile help page says the transfer “will be credited the next day” with a ₱2,000,000 limit (EastWest ↗). The Fund Transfers figures are in the table.

GCash and Maya on PESONet

GCash cannot send through PESONet. BSP’s summary marks individual PESONet at G-Xchange, the GCash operator, as a service that is not available, and GCash’s own help pages only describe money coming in: a cash in between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM arrives by 4:00 PM, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM by 1:00 PM (GCash ↗). A second GCash page words the same thing as a 3:00 PM cut-off with next-banking-day processing afterwards, which conflicts with the cycle table (GCash ↗); both pages cover incoming transfers only.

The Maya wallet entity, Maya Philippines, is likewise marked as not available for individual PESONet in BSP’s sheet, while Maya Bank, the savings account, sends PESONet free (BSP ↗).
