zpeso is a reference on fees, limits, cut-off times and bank codes in the Philippines.
Short answer zpeso is a reference on how money moves in the Philippines. Every fee, limit, cut-off time and code on it comes from the bank, e-wallet or regulator that sets it, with a link and the date we checked it.
What we cover
- E-wallets: GCash and Maya — cash in, cash out, transfers, limits.
- Banks: transfer fees, maintaining balances, SWIFT and BRSTN codes.
- The transfer rails: InstaPay and PESONet — fees, caps and cut-off times.
- Money from abroad: PayPal, Upwork and bank wires into Philippine accounts.
- News: fee changes, BSP circulars and anything else that changes what a transfer costs or how long it takes.
Why one table for all banks
Each bank documents only itself. If you want to know which banks still charge for InstaPay, or when each bank’s PESONet cut-off is, you would have to open a dozen bank pages. We do that work and put the answers in one table, with the source for each row.
How we work
- Official sources only. Figures come from the institution’s own fee schedule, help centre or announcement, or from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the SEC and the PDIC. Blogs and forums can point us to a page, but they are never the source of a number.
- “Not published by the bank” is an answer. When an institution does not publish a figure, we say so instead of estimating it.
- Every figure is dated. The “checked” date next to a figure is the day we last confirmed it at the source. Figures older than 90 days are marked as possibly outdated.
- No verdicts. We do not pick a “best bank” or “best app”. Tables can be sorted by fee or balance; the choice is yours.
