China Banking Corporation’s BIC on PCHC’s PESONet participant list is CHBKPHMMXXX.
Short answer Use
CHBKPHMMXXXwhen a sender or payment form asks for China Bank’s BIC or SWIFT code. It identifies China Banking Corporation, not your individual account. Give the sender your exact beneficiary name and account number too, and confirm the receiving route with Chinabank before a large or urgent transfer.

China Bank BIC and bank code
| Field | Verified value | Use |
|---|---|---|
| BIC on the PCHC PESONet list | CHBKPHMMXXX | Identifies China Banking Corporation |
| BRSTN for PayPal and Upwork | 010100013 | Philippine domestic bank code used by those withdrawal forms |
| Beneficiary name | Your name exactly as registered | Identifies the account holder |
| Account number | Your own Chinabank account number | Identifies the destination account |
PCHC labels CHBKPHMMXXX as the institution’s BIC. That is the same type of code many transfer forms call a SWIFT code. PCHC also lists the bank’s BRSTN as 01010-001-3; removing the separators gives 010100013.

- Bank nameChina Banking Corporation (Chinabank)
- BIC/SWIFT
CHBKPHMMXXX- Beneficiary nameyour name exactly as registered on the account
- Account numberyour own Chinabank account number
- Currency and payment purposethe accurate details requested by the sending bank
If the sending form asks for a branch address, intermediary bank or correspondent-bank details, do not guess. Ask Chinabank which receiving route applies to the account and currency. The PCHC list verifies the institution code; it does not decide every field needed by an overseas bank.
What Chinabank charges to receive a transfer
Chinabank’s remittance schedule separates the bank’s own inward fees by the way the money arrives and the currency credited.
| Inward route | Chinabank fee |
|---|---|
| Foreign telegraphic transfer credited in pesos | ₱150 |
| Foreign TT credited in pesos, funded by a local bank | ₱200 |
| Foreign TT credited in pesos, funded by a foreign bank | ₱300 |
| Foreign TT credited to a USD account | US$3 |
| Foreign TT credited to a EUR account | €5 |
| Inward PESONet | None |
These are Chinabank tariff lines, not a promised all-in price. The sending bank or an intermediary may deduct its own charge, and a currency conversion can change the final credit. The complete Chinabank remittance-fee guide also covers outward fees, other account currencies and cash pick-up.
BRSTN for PayPal and Upwork
When PayPal or Upwork asks for a Philippine bank code rather than a SWIFT code, their published lists use 010100013 for China Banking Corporation.
| Form or provider | Code to enter |
|---|---|
| PayPal Philippine bank-code field | 010100013 |
| Upwork Direct to Local Bank | 010100013 |
Do not enter the BRSTN when a sender explicitly asks for a BIC or SWIFT code. They are different routing identifiers.
BIC, account number and BRSTN are not interchangeable
- BIC/SWIFT identifies China Banking Corporation in a bank-routing system.
- Account number identifies the beneficiary’s account.
- BRSTN is a Philippine domestic bank code used by services such as PayPal and Upwork.
- A field labelled only “bank code” is ambiguous. Read the form’s help text or ask the provider which scheme it expects.
The Philippine bank-code table compares these identifiers across banks. The PESONet participant table shows the PCHC values used for domestic participation.
Before the sender releases the money
- Confirm the beneficiary name and account number from the recipient’s current Chinabank records.
- Ask Chinabank whether the account can receive the intended currency and route.
- Confirm whether the sender needs an intermediary bank or branch details.
- Check the sending bank’s fee and exchange-rate quote.
- Read
CHBKPHMMXXXback character by character. - Keep the transfer reference and use Chinabank’s official tracker or hotline for follow-up.
Never share an OTP, PIN, password or card security code with anyone who says they are releasing or tracing a transfer.
