Philippine National Bank’s BIC on PCHC’s PESONet participant list is PNBMPHMMXXX.

Short answer Use PNBMPHMMXXX when a sender or payment form asks for PNB’s BIC or SWIFT code. The code identifies Philippine National Bank, not your individual account. Give the sender your exact beneficiary name and account number too, and confirm the receiving route with PNB before a large or urgent transfer.

PCHC labels PNBMPHMMXXX as the institution’s BIC. Many transfer forms use “BIC” and “SWIFT code” for the same field. PCHC writes PNB’s BRSTN as 01008-001-0; without separators, that is 010080010.

  • BIC/SWIFTPNBMPHMMXXX
  • Beneficiary nameyour name exactly as registered on the PNB account
  • Account numberyour own PNB account number

If the sender asks for a branch address, intermediary bank or correspondent-bank details, do not fill the field from a code directory. Confirm the route with PNB through its official support page ↗ or the sending bank. The institution BIC does not establish every detail for every currency and country.

BRSTN for PayPal and Upwork

PayPal’s Philippine bank-code PDF and Upwork’s Direct to Local Bank table give Philippine National Bank the BRSTN 010080010.

Do not enter 010080010 when a form explicitly asks for a BIC or SWIFT code. Use PNBMPHMMXXX for that field.

BIC, account number and BRSTN are different

  • BIC/SWIFT identifies Philippine National Bank in a bank-routing system.
  • Account number identifies the beneficiary’s individual account.
  • BRSTN is a Philippine domestic bank code used by payout services such as PayPal and Upwork.
  • A field labelled only “bank code” needs clarification from the provider.

The Philippine bank-code table compares the identifiers across banks. The PESONet participant table carries the PCHC participant values.

Before the sender releases the transfer

  1. Confirm the beneficiary name and account number from the recipient’s current PNB records.
  2. Ask PNB whether the account can receive the intended currency and route.
  3. Confirm whether the sending bank needs an intermediary bank or branch details.
  4. Review the sender’s fee and exchange-rate quote.
  5. Read PNBMPHMMXXX back character by character.
  6. Keep the transfer reference and use PNB’s official support channels for follow-up.

Never share an OTP, PIN, password or card security code with anyone who says they are releasing or tracing a transfer.
