Banks › RCBC › SWIFT code

The BIC listed for Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation on PCHC’s PESONet participant list is RCBCPHMMXXX.

Short answer Use RCBCPHMMXXX when a sender or transfer form asks for RCBC’s BIC or SWIFT code. It identifies Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, not a specific account. Give the sender the beneficiary name and account number exactly as RCBC holds them. If the form asks for an intermediary bank, branch address or a currency-specific route, confirm those fields with RCBC rather than guessing.

PCHC labels RCBCPHMMXXX as the bank’s BIC. Transfer forms often use “BIC” and “SWIFT code” for the same bank identifier. PayPal’s PDF separately lists 010280014 for Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation. The two codes are not interchangeable.

  • Bank nameRizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC)
  • BIC/SWIFTRCBCPHMMXXX
  • Beneficiary namethe recipient’s name exactly as registered
  • Account numberthe recipient’s own RCBC account number
  • Currency and payment purposethe accurate details requested by the sending bank

An overseas bank may also request RCBC’s address, a branch address, an intermediary bank or correspondent details. Those fields depend on the route and currency. The PCHC code verifies the institution; it does not prove which correspondent should handle every transfer.

RCBC’s published address is Yuchengco Tower, RCBC Plaza, 6819 Ayala Avenue, Makati City 0727, Philippines. Use an address only if the sending form specifically requests it, and confirm the required address with RCBC for the transfer route.

RCBC says it accepts international SWIFT transfers

RCBC’s transfer tracker covers local PesoNet, PDDTS and RTGS transfers as well as international SWIFT transfers. The page asks for the transaction reference number to check status.

RCBC’s remittance service also describes several ways a beneficiary can receive money:

  • credit to an RCBC or another local bank account;
  • cash pick-up from an RCBC business center or payout partner;
  • cash delivery to an address; and
  • payment to an accredited biller.

These are different delivery methods. A cash-pickup remittance is not the same as a SWIFT credit to an account. The sender should select the route that matches the recipient’s instructions.

BRSTN for PayPal

When PayPal asks for a Philippine bank code, its published list uses 010280014 for Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation.

Form field Code to enter
BIC or SWIFT RCBCPHMMXXX
PayPal Philippine bank code or BRSTN 010280014

Do not enter the BRSTN in a field explicitly labelled BIC or SWIFT. Do not enter the BIC in a PayPal bank-code field. Read the form label and its help text before submitting.

The Philippine bank-code table compares SWIFT/BIC and BRSTN identifiers across banks.

BIC, BRSTN and account number are different

  • BIC/SWIFT identifies RCBC in an international bank-routing system.
  • BRSTN is a nine-digit Philippine bank code used by services such as PayPal.
  • Account number identifies the beneficiary’s own account.
  • Transfer reference number identifies a submitted transaction for tracking.

A transfer can fail or be delayed if one value is pasted into the wrong field. Check every field separately; a valid-looking code does not make the rest of the instructions correct.

Before the sender releases the money

  1. Confirm the beneficiary name and account number from the recipient’s current RCBC records.
  2. Confirm the destination currency and whether the account can receive it.
  3. Use RCBCPHMMXXX only where the form asks for BIC or SWIFT.
  4. Use 010280014 only where PayPal or another provider explicitly asks for the Philippine bank code or BRSTN.
  5. Ask RCBC whether an intermediary bank or currency-specific instruction is required.
  6. Check the sending bank’s fee and exchange-rate quote.
  7. Keep the transfer reference so RCBC’s tracker or customer care can trace the payment.

Never give a sender, broker or “release agent” an OTP, PIN, password or card security code. Those secrets are not routing details.
