Security Bank’s SWIFT code, its bank code for PayPal and Upwork, and what a sender abroad needs.

Short answer Security Bank Corporation’s SWIFT/BIC code is SETCPHMM, printed in Security Bank’s own instructions for receiving a telegraphic transfer. A sender abroad also needs your full account name and your 13-digit account number. PayPal and Upwork ask for a different number, the nine-digit BRSTN 010140015.

What the sender needs

Security Bank says a savings account can receive remittances “from any place around the world through correspondent banks using SWIFT, cable, or telefax facilities”, and lists the details a remitting bank needs for a telegraphic transfer: the country, the bank’s full name, the beneficiary’s full account name and account number, the SWIFT code and the CHIPS UID (Security Bank ↗ · ).

Give this to the sender

  • CountryPHILIPPINES

  • SWIFT/BICSETCPHMM
  • CHIPS UID010457
  • Account nameYour full account name, spelled as Security Bank holds it
  • Account numberYour 13-digit Security Bank account number

The same page asks that “the complete name and account number of the beneficiary are provided correctly to avoid any delay in the remittance”, and tells customers to check with the bank abroad that it can send using Security Bank’s SWIFT code. The sending bank sets its own charges; Security Bank asks customers to “coordinate with the remitting bank regarding possible fees that they may also charge for the transaction”.

What Security Bank charges to receive

Security Bank charges a commission on every inward foreign telegraphic transfer. On a peso account the commission is converted at the bank’s selling rate, and documentary stamp tax is added.

Security Bank marks this schedule “Updated as of April 2026”. Sending from Security Bank to other Philippine banks and e-wallets is a separate matter: the BSP’s summary of digital transfer fees lists Security Bank’s InstaPay and PESONet transfers as free, effective July 10, 2026 (BSP ↗ · ), while Security Bank’s own fee page still shows ₱10 per InstaPay transfer from January 11, 2026 and ₱50 per PESONet transfer (Security Bank ↗ · ). Check the confirmation screen in the app before you send. Fees at every bank are on InstaPay and PESONet transfer fees, with cut-offs on PESONet and the ₱50,000 cap on InstaPay.

Routing number, IBAN and the BRSTN

Three codes get mixed up. SETCPHMM is the SWIFT/BIC a foreign bank uses to route a wire to Security Bank. The CHIPS UID 010457 is the second identifier Security Bank lists for the same telegraphic transfer. The BRSTN is a domestic code: Upwork calls it “the Bank Routing Symbol Transit Number” and tells freelancers to “enter your bank’s head office BRSTN code”, and both Upwork’s table and PayPal’s Philippine list print 010140015 for Security Bank Corporation (Upwork ↗ · PayPal ↗ · ).

There is no IBAN to give. Security Bank’s answer is direct: “Security Bank has no IBAN number. Please use the SWIFT CODE SETCPHMM.” (Security Bank ↗ · ). A form that asks for a routing number for a PayPal or Upwork withdrawal wants the BRSTN.

Receiving from PayPal and Upwork

Neither platform sends a SWIFT wire to a peso account. Both credit it locally and both ask for the BRSTN.
