GCash to BPI: what a transfer costs, how much you can send and how long it takes, from GCash’s and BPI’s own pages.
Short answer Sending money from GCash to a BPI account costs ₱10 per transfer and goes through InstaPay, so it normally arrives in real time, any day of the week. Each transfer is capped at ₱50,000, and your GCash profile sets how much you can send in a day or a month. GCash does not send PESONet for individual users, so there is no slower free option from the GCash side.

What it costs
GCash’s transfer page says: “Send money from GCash to local banks or e-wallets via InstaPay for real-time transfers. A PHP 10 fee applies per transaction.” The BSP’s summary of digital transfer fees records the same ₱10 for G-Xchange, the company behind GCash, effective July 4, 2026, and marks PESONet as a service G-Xchange does not offer to individual clients.
| Route | Fee | Rail | Arrives | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GCash Transfer > Local > BPI | ₱10 per transfer | InstaPay | Real-time | GCash · BSP |
| GCash to BPI by PESONet | Not offered for individual GCash users | — | — | BSP |
The fee is the same whatever the amount, so one ₱20,000 transfer costs ₱10 and four ₱5,000 transfers cost ₱40. GCash’s troubleshooting article ↗ still mentions a ₱15 fee being refunded on a failed transfer; the transfer page itself and the BSP summary both give ₱10. The fees every other bank and e-wallet charge are on InstaPay and PESONet transfer fees.
How much you can send
Two limits apply at once: the InstaPay cap on each transfer and your GCash profile’s outgoing limit, which counts bank transfers together with Send Money and cash out. BPI lists InstaPay at “PHP 50,000 Per transaction”, the scheme cap explained on InstaPay.
| GCash profile | Who it is | Daily outgoing limit | Monthly outgoing limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Non-verified users | No limit | ₱5,000 |
| GCash Jr. | Fully verified users aged 7 to 17 | ₱100,000 | ₱100,000 |
| Fully Verified | Fully Verified adults | ₱500,000 | ₱1,000,000 |
| 5M | Eligible customers, subject to approval | ₱1,000,000 | ₱5,000,000 |
| 10M | Eligible customers, subject to approval | ₱1,000,000 | ₱10,000,000 |
Every profile is on GCash limit by profile. A Fully Verified user can therefore send up to ₱500,000 to BPI in a day, as ten transfers of ₱50,000 at ₱10 each. GCash says the transaction limits reset at the start of each month, and you can see your own under Profile > Profile Limits.

- Open GCash and tap Transfer > Local.
- Tap the BPI logo, or View All and choose BPI.

GCash also accepts a bank QR code: under Transfer > Local, tap Scan/Upload Bank QR and the account name and number fill in by themselves (GCash ↗ · ).
How long it takes
- Normal transferreal-timeGCash sends every bank transfer through InstaPay, which runs 24/7, weekends and holidays included (GCash ↗ · BPI ↗ · )
- Delayed transfer, credited3 to 5 business daysGCash sends an SMS when a system issue or maintenance holds a transfer up
- Delayed transfer, returned1 to 2 business daysthe full amount and the fee go back to your GCash wallet; GCash says business days exclude weekends and holidays
If the money was not returned after two business days, GCash asks you to open the transaction in the app and tap Get Help > “I didn’t receive the money”; its support team replies within 24 to 48 hours.
Warning InstaPay transfers are credited at once. If you send to the wrong but active BPI account, GCash helps “on a best-effort basis”, the refund depends on the receiving bank’s policy, and disputes should be reported within 15 days of the transaction (GCash ↗ · ). Check the account number before you tap Confirm, and never share your MPIN or one-time PIN with anyone offering to speed up or reverse a transfer.
What BPI needs from you
BPI account numbers have 10 digits (BPI ↗ · ). GCash asks for the account name and number only; no SWIFT code or branch is needed for a local transfer. The SWIFT code BOPIPHMM matters only for money coming from abroad, covered on BPI SWIFT code.
