BSP-registered VASPs are the crypto service providers on the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) list of VASPs.
Risk Crypto-assets are highly volatile and you can lose all the money you put in. Use only platforms registered with the BSP/SEC. This is not a recommendation to buy.

The numbers are the BSP’s own row numbers. The BSP marks the list “Source: TRISD Database”. An app or brand name that does not appear on the list is not proof of registration: match the legal name of the company behind the app with a row above.
How to check a crypto platform
- Find the legal name. Look for the company name in the app’s terms or “About” page, not only the brand.
- Open the BSP list. Use the BSP’s VASP list ↗ and read its “as of” date.
- Match the row and status. The company should appear under an “Active” heading. Direct Agent 5 is listed under “Inactive/Not operational”.
- Use the BSP Verifier. The BSP Verifier ↗ checks whether an institution is registered with or supervised by the BSP. The BSP says a missing name could also mean a new, renamed, closed or merged institution, or one regulated by another regulator such as the SEC.
The licensing moratorium
The BSP’s Monetary Board, in Resolution No. 848 dated August 20, 2025, approved the continued enforcement of the moratorium on new VASP licences. BSP Memorandum No. M-2025-031 says the moratorium continues from September 1, 2025, “subject to reassessment based on global and local developments”, and cites continued concerns on consumer protection and cybercrime.
Banks and offshore platforms
BSP Memorandum No. M-2026-003 tells BSP-supervised financial institutions to deal only with VASPs registered with and authorised by the BSP, crypto-asset service providers (CASPs) registered with and authorised by the SEC, and offshore VASPs licensed in their home country. The same memorandum says direct access of retail customers residing in the Philippines to offshore VASPs, whether licensed or not in their home countries, is not allowed unless they are registered with the BSP or the SEC.
Warning Scammers use the names of registered platforms in fake apps, Facebook pages and chat groups. Install apps only from the official app store listing, and never send money to a person who says they will “trade for you” on a registered platform.
