GCash GCrypto is the crypto trading feature in the GCash app, powered by PDAX: its fees, limits and steps.

Short answer GCrypto charges no fee to top up its Trading Wallet from your GCash wallet or to withdraw back, and no fee to receive crypto; sending crypto out costs a fee that varies by coin. The buy and sell price already includes GCrypto’s service and platform fees. A Fully Verified user can top up ₱100,000 a day and withdraw ₱100,000 a month to the GCash wallet.

Who runs GCrypto
GCash says GCrypto “is powered by PDAX” (GCash ↗), and the one-time PIN for a crypto send comes from PDAX by email (GCash ↗). The Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX) is listed as an active non-bank virtual asset service provider (VASP) on the BSP’s list as of July 15, 2026: see BSP-registered VASPs. PDAX says the BSP granted it a licence to operate as a virtual currency exchange in September 2018, under BSP Circular No. 944, series of 2017 (PDAX ↗ · ).
PDAX also says the digital assets you hold on it “are not insured”, because virtual currencies are not deposits and cannot be claimed from the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) (PDAX ↗ · ).

Limits
The GCrypto Trading Wallet is a separate wallet from your GCash wallet. You cannot buy or send crypto straight from the GCash wallet: you top up the Trading Wallet first (GCash ↗).

Who can open a GCrypto account
GCash lists four conditions (GCash ↗ · ):
- at least 18 years old;
- a Fully Verified GCash account (see GCash verification);
- a profile updated in the last 3 years;
- a verified email address.
You can have only one GCrypto account. Opening one includes a Risk Profile questionnaire and agreeing to the GCrypto Terms and Conditions.
Steps
- Open GCrypto: in the GCash app, tap GInvest › GCrypto, then Get Started, enter the 6-digit code, answer the Risk Profile questions and agree to the terms.
- Top up: on the GCrypto dashboard, tap Top Up, enter the amount, then Pay.
- Buy or sell: tap the coin, then Buy or Sell, and enter the amount in pesos or in crypto. A sale goes to the Trading Wallet.
- Withdraw to GCash: tap Withdraw, enter the amount and the OTP sent to your GCash number.

How long it takes

Warning Finished GCrypto transactions cannot be changed or refunded. Before you send, check the blockchain network, the wallet address and any destination tag; GCash’s example is BTC only on the Bitcoin network (GCash ↗). Never give your GCash OTP or PDAX email code to anyone who offers to “manage” your trades.
