BDO to GCash transfer: check the InstaPay fee, sending allowance and recipient limits.

A BDO to GCash transfer uses the bank’s route for sending money to another local bank or wallet through InstaPay. BDO’s own limits page lists a ₱10 fee and a ₱50,000 shared daily transaction limit that includes InstaPay fees. The BSP fee summary separately lists free individual transfers from July 9, 2026; the two published sources disagree. The recipient must also have room within their GCash wallet and incoming transaction limits.

Short answer BDO’s page lists ₱10, while BSP lists free InstaPay transfers for individual clients. Check the fee displayed for your account before confirming. BDO’s posted ₱50,000 daily InstaPay allowance includes any applicable InstaPay fee, and its page gives a ₱100 minimum.

BSP’s BDO footnote says individual InstaPay and PESONet fees are free effective July 9, 2026. BDO’s own page still lists ₱10 and ₱50 respectively. This page reports that disagreement rather than treating either source as the final fee for every account; use the confirmation screen for the proposed transaction.

The daily figure covers your use of the service, rather than a fresh allowance for each recipient. Earlier transactions can reduce the available amount. Withdraw via QR and Scan to Pay also use the wider shared allowance, so check the limit shown in your BDO app before confirming.

As an arithmetic illustration, if the app applies a ₱10 fee, ₱49,990 sent plus that fee totals ₱50,000. That calculation assumes the whole InstaPay allowance remains unused and no other account restriction applies. It is not a promise that the app will approve that amount for your account.

BDO publishes separate limits for transfers to BDO accounts and for PESONet. Those figures do not increase the allowance for this InstaPay transfer to GCash. See InstaPay for the rail itself and the transfer-fee hub for other routes.

Check the GCash recipient’s limits too

GCash dates its current profile limits October 1, 2026. Its help page says to update the app to access those limits.

GCash profile Maximum wallet balance Monthly incoming limit
Basic ₱10,000 ₱5,000
GCash Jr. ₱100,000 ₱100,000
Fully Verified ₱1,000,000 ₱1,000,000
5M ₱5,000,000 ₱5,000,000
10M ₱10,000,000 ₱10,000,000

Wallet space and incoming allowance are different checks. A wallet may be below its maximum balance but have already received its full monthly allowance. The 5M and 10M profiles are approved, eligibility-based tiers, not automatic limits for every verified adult.

For customers with linked GCash accounts, the highest profile limit applies across the linked accounts. Limits do not add together into a larger total. Splitting one payment across linked numbers does not create extra profile allowance.

Steps

  1. Confirm the recipient. Obtain the mobile number registered to the intended GCash wallet and check that it is correct.
  2. Open BDO’s official app. Use the route for sending to another local bank or wallet via InstaPay, then choose the GCash destination offered by the app.
  3. Enter the transfer details. Check the recipient information, amount and fee on the confirmation screen.
  4. Confirm available limits. Ensure your account can cover the transfer and fee; ask the recipient to check wallet space and incoming allowance.
  5. Save the transaction reference. Keep the amount, time and reference until the recipient confirms credit in their own wallet.

Warning Do not share an OTP, MPIN or bank password with anyone offering to “release” or “refund” a transfer. A screenshot is not proof that money has reached the recipient’s wallet.

BDO’s fee-return table distinguishes rejected, erroneous, time-out and multiple-debit cases. A failed-looking screen does not establish a universal refund time or an automatic fee refund. Use the bank’s investigation result for your transaction.
