What the conditions mean
- Tonik Group Stash. The 4.50% applies once the owner has invited at least 2 members and all 3 have put in at least ₱1. Saving alone in a Group Stash earns 4.00% (Tonik ↗ · ). Tonik allows up to 5 Stashes, Solo and Group combined (Tonik ↗).
- UNO #UNOready. The rate depends on the end-of-day balance and applies to that whole balance: 3.00% from ₱0.01 to ₱4,999.99, 3.50% from ₱5,000 to ₱4,999,999.99, and 1.00% from ₱5,000,000 (UNO ↗ · ).
- MariBank. MariBank states 3.25% for “account balances up to PHP1,000,000” and that “for account balances in excess of PHP1,000,000, 3.75% interest p.a. shall apply” (MariBank ↗ · ).
- Maya Savings. The 3% base rate applies to the whole balance; the bonus interest applies to a balance of up to ₱100,000 and is earned by using Maya for payments and growing the balance. Maya Savings is open to upgraded Maya customers, and an account with no deposit or withdrawal for 2 years earns no interest (Maya Bank ↗ · ).
- CIMB Earn More. New depositors who keep at least ₱1,000, ₱5,000 or ₱20,000 in ADB in the month they open the account, and existing depositors who grow their total ADB by those amounts over the previous month, earn +0.25%, +0.50% and +1.10% a year, up to +1.85% in all. The extra interest applies only to the first ₱100,000 of ADB growth, and the growth must come from customer-initiated cash ins through InstaPay, PESONet or GCash. The promo runs until October 31, 2026 (CIMB ↗ · ).

How each bank computes interest
| Bank | Formula the bank publishes | Balance used |
|---|---|---|
| Maya Bank | End-of-day balance × interest rate × 1/365 | End-of-day balance |
| Tonik | Daily cleared balance × interest rate × 1/days in the year (365 or 366) | Daily cleared balance |
| CIMB Bank (UpSave) | (ADB × days in the month / 360) × interest rate | Average daily balance |
| MariBank | Interest credited daily on the previous day’s balance | Previous day’s balance |
MariBank, Tonik and CIMB each state on their own pages that interest is subject to 20% withholding tax. CIMB’s UpSave disclosure works one month through: on an ADB of ₱100,000 for 30 days at 2.30%, the gross interest is ₱191.67, the tax ₱38.33 and the net interest ₱153.33 (CIMB ↗ · ).
Tip A rate stays the same only until the bank changes it. Maya says a change takes effect after the public is notified, and CIMB says it will post changes on its website and social media pages. Check the rate in the app before you move money for it.
Warning Banks do not ask for your password, OTP or MPIN to “unlock” a higher savings rate. Messages promising promo interest in exchange for a login or a transfer to another account are scams; report them through the bank’s own app or hotline.
