RCBC: what still works
RCBC says customers may continue to use RCBC Pulz and RCBC Online Banking during the window. Its advisory lists only debit cards, ATMs and cardless withdrawals among the affected services, so a transfer from the app is the route RCBC itself points to. Every bank’s InstaPay and PESONet fees for individuals are on InstaPay and PESONet transfer fees.
Metrobank: what the advisory covers
Metrobank’s advisory, dated October 1, 2026, names only its banking machines and cards: ATMs, CAMs and WDMs, and the Prime Debit Card, Prepaid Card and Paycard. It does not list the Metrobank app or InstaPay and PESONet transfers among the affected channels. Metrobank says accounts “remain safe and secure” and points customers to its social media channels and the Metrobank Contact Center for help.
This is Metrobank’s second overnight machine-and-card window this month, after the October 2–3 maintenance.
PESONet runs on banking days only, with each bank’s cut-off on PESONet cut-off times; InstaPay runs 24/7, as explained on InstaPay.
Warning Maintenance windows draw fake “bank support” pages and messages offering to fix a card or account. RCBC’s advisory lists its own hotline, +632 8877-7222, and Metrobank points only to its own social media channels and contact center. Never give a card PIN or one-time PIN to anyone who contacts you.
