Who was affected
Anyone withdrawing cash or depositing at a Metrobank ATM, CAM or WDM during the window, and anyone paying or withdrawing with a Metrobank Prime Debit Card, Prepaid Card or Paycard. The advisory lists only machines and cards. It does not list the Metrobank app or InstaPay and PESONet transfers among the affected channels. Metrobank’s InstaPay and PESONet transfers have been free for individual clients since July 9, 2026, per the BSP’s fee summary, with every bank’s fees on InstaPay and PESONet transfer fees. PESONet itself runs on banking days only, with each bank’s cut-off on PESONet cut-off times.

Warning Maintenance windows draw fake “Metrobank support” pages and messages offering to fix a card or account. Metrobank’s advisory directs customers only to its own social media channels and contact center; never give a card PIN or one-time PIN to anyone who contacts you.
