Two nationwide non-working days fall in the next two weeks: Friday, August 21, 2026, Ninoy Aquino Day, a special non-working day, and Monday, August 31, 2026, National Heroes Day, a regular holiday. Both are in Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025. InstaPay keeps running around the clock through a holiday. PESONet is a batch rail that settles on banking days only, so transfers that land on either date are credited afterwards.

Date Type PESONet

Each holiday makes a long weekend, August 21 to 23 and August 29 to 31. A PESONet transfer sent on Thursday, August 20 after the sending bank’s cut-off will therefore be credited on Monday, August 24. One sent on Friday, August 28 after the cut-off will be credited on Tuesday, September 1.

Cut-off times are set by each bank, not by the rail, so the only reliable one is your own bank’s. A transfer of up to ₱50,000 that has to arrive during the long weekend can go through InstaPay instead, which settles in real time.

How the batch rail works, and where to find each bank’s cut-off: PESONet.
