Sending inside GCash

GCash-to-GCash transfers are not affected. Reading the GCash terms and conditions, GMA News reports 500 free send and receive transactions a month, after which select users are charged ₱5.

Today is also the day BSP Circular No. 1238 takes effect, which requires that an off-us person-to-person fee not materially exceed the same institution’s on-us fee plus the switch cost. GCash lowered its price rather than removing it.

Our GCash fees page lists the wallet’s charges, and transfer fees compares them with the banks.
