Choose how to add money to Maya Wallet, check the channel charge and keep proof until the credit arrives.

Short answer Maya cash in can start in another bank’s app, through a linked bank inside Maya, or at a partner counter. Choose the route before comparing costs: a source-bank charge, an upfront convenience fee and a later cashback voucher are different parts of the transaction.

Start from the account that holds the money

A bank-app transfer goes to Maya Philippines, Inc./Maya Wallet, using the registered name and 11-digit Maya mobile number. A linked-bank cash-in instead starts under Cash In, then Bank Account, and requires an upgraded Maya account.

At a counter, choose the partner in Maya and generate its cash-in code before paying. Wait for the wallet credit before leaving. These are separate routes in Maya’s cash-in instructions ↗.

Compare the channel charge, not one headline fee

Route What Maya’s fee table says
Bank-app transfer by InstaPay or PESONet No Maya charge; the source bank can charge
Linked bank inside Maya No Maya charge; source-bank fees can apply
Listed over-the-counter channels 2%, with a monthly-threshold condition
7-Eleven 3% convenience fee, effective March 21, 2025
BDO over the counter Free until further notice

The table describes a cashback voucher equal to 2% for eligible OTC cash-ins below ₱8,000 per user per month. It separately gives the 7-Eleven charge as 3%. A 2% voucher therefore does not establish that every channel’s full fee will be returned.

Maya’s general cash-in FAQ still illustrates 7-Eleven using 2%. This conflicts with its fee table’s explicitly dated 3% rule. Use the fee table for this comparison and check the actual charge before paying. Keep any voucher separate from the amount immediately credited.

This guide covers wallet funding, not borrowing or card-funded cash-ins. For outgoing charges, see Maya fees and limits.

Check the remaining monthly allowance first

Maya’s account-limits page ↗ links cash-in capacity to a combined monthly allowance. Spending the balance down does not necessarily restore that month’s receiving capacity. Its Basic-account example starts with ₱50,000, subtracts ₱10,000 already received and leaves ₱40,000 for further cash-ins that month.

In the app, open the profile drawer, choose Account Limits and inspect both daily and monthly tabs. Check your actual account tier and the selected channel before sending. A per-transaction cap and the remaining monthly allowance are separate constraints.

Keep a usable transaction record

Before paying, note the route, destination, amount and displayed charge. Afterward, keep the reference, date and receipt together until the wallet credit is visible. This makes a support request more precise than saying only that a cash-in failed.

Maya directs delayed bank-funded cash-ins to the source institution, kiosk issues to the kiosk operator and counter issues to the branch used. Preserve the receipt rather than paying an unknown person to investigate.

Warning Never disclose your password, PIN or OTP to someone offering to fix the transfer. Maya’s cash-in security guidance says its officers do not request those details.
