The eight- and 11-character forms name the same bank: the first eight characters are identical, and XXX is the primary-office suffix. If the sending form accepts eight characters, use the bank’s published PABIPHMM. If it requires 11, use PABIPHMMXXX, the form on PCHC’s list.

Bank of Commerce’s FAQ tells senders to put the account holder, the person who opened the account, as the beneficiary; a common mistake is to enter the name of whoever holds the ATM card. An overseas bank may also ask for an intermediary bank or the bank’s address; ask Bank of Commerce or the sending bank for the route that applies to the currency.
What Bank of Commerce says about remittances
Bank of Commerce’s remittance services page lists these ways to receive money sent from abroad:
| Delivery option | What BankCom says |
|---|---|
| Credit to a BankCom account | OFWs can remit directly into a Bank of Commerce Philippine peso or US dollar account |
| Credit to another bank account | Into a Philippine peso account within 24 hours (banking days) |
| Cash pick-up at BankCom branches | From BankCom’s overseas remittance partners; MoneyGram and Transfast also paid out at branches |
| Cash pick-up anywhere | Bank of Commerce branches, M Lhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier, LBC Express, Palawan Express, RD Pawnshop |
| Door-to-door cash delivery | Within 24 hours in Metro Manila, 48 to 72 hours in key provincial areas |
The same page describes the SikapPinoy Savings Account for OFWs and their families: no initial deposit, no minimum maintaining ADB (average daily balance), and a ₱5,000 minimum ADB to earn interest. To check InstaPay and PESONet transfers made through BankCom [Personal], the bank’s Remittance Tracker takes the 14-digit reference number without dashes and spaces.
Bank charges, correspondent deductions and exchange rates depend on the sending bank and route. Ask the sending bank for the full quote before sending a large or urgent payment.
BRSTN for PayPal and Upwork
PayPal’s Philippine bank-code PDF and Upwork’s bank-code table both list 010440016 for “Bank of Commerce”. This is not the bank’s SWIFT code.
| Form label | Code to enter |
|---|---|
| BIC/SWIFT, eight characters accepted | PABIPHMM |
| BIC/SWIFT, 11 characters required | PABIPHMMXXX |
| Philippine bank code or BRSTN | 010440016 |
Do not paste 010440016 into a SWIFT field, and do not paste PABIPHMMXXX into PayPal’s nine-digit bank-code field. The bank-code table compares both routing schemes across Philippine banks; Bank of Commerce is also on the InstaPay participant list.
Before the sender releases the money

- Review the sender’s fees, exchange rate and delivery estimate.
